On January 11-18, 2026, we will once again take part in Seek Week!
Seek Week will have opportunities for all of us to participate, both corporately and individually. We recommend that you save this email, as it will be a resource for you to utilize before, during, and even after Seek Week.
Our lead pastor, Tim Bice, has provided a helpful explanation of the heartbeat behind Seek Week and a more detailed explanation of all that will be taking place during the week. Those 2 videos are below.

Below is an overview of what to expect and how you can get involved and sign-up links as needed:
January 11-14
January 11-14
- Our Sunday Gathering will serve as a “Kick-off” to Seek Week on the 11th.
- At 1:00pm, we will begin 72 hours of public reading of the entire Bible. This will take place in the Greenbriar Auditorium. A security officer will be stationed during times when GB elders and staff are not present. For further instructions and to sign up for the 20 minute time slots, see below.
January 14
- At 6:30pm, our public Scripture reading will end in a joint adult/student SEEK NIGHT of Prayer and Worship Service (childcare will be provided).
- At 9:00pm, we will begin 24 hours of prayer. During this time, you can sign up to pray for 30 minutes. You can pray remotely or at the Greenbriar Church building (during regular office hours). At the building, we will have a designated space with prayer stations to help guide your time.
January 15
January 16-17
January 18
- You won’t want to miss this night! Join us at 6:30pm for our SEEK NIGHT with Word and Worship. One of our Acts 29 brothers, Aaron Nebrija, will be preaching! Aaron is the Lead Pastor at City Life Church in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
January 16-17
- Neighborhood prayer walks! Join your family, Community Group(s), friends (or just you!) to walk your neighborhood and pray for your neighbors. This is a great opportunity to give yourself away in prayer for the glory of God and benefit of your neighbors. We will supply a neighborhood prayer walk guide to help you with this (see below). If you don’t have an easily walkable neighborhood, come to the church to pray over it, or connect with other families, groups, or friends to help pray for their neighborhood.
January 18
- Our Seek Week will end with a prayer and worship service similar to our Wednesday evening prayer services. This service will begin at our regular worship gathering time – 10:00am.
During the entire week, we can also take part by praying and fasting (if you can). To help you with this, we have produced the following materials to assist you. We will also provide a week's worth of devotions for you to follow along with— those will be supplied to you through our app and website.
- A Simple Guide to Fasting - This document provides a short and simple overview of the “what” and “why” to participating in a biblical fast.
- Seek Week Fasting Instructions - This provides options and instructions on how to participate in a 24 hour or 3 day fast.
- Seek Week Prayer Guide - This is a very helpful guide to assist you as you pray each day during Seek Week. HERE is an intro to those devos. We will provide these for you as Seek Week gets closer.
- Neighborhood prayer walk guide - A very practical guide to help you walk (or drive) and pray for your neighbors.
Sign Up for the 72 hour Public Reading of Scripture and the 24 hours of Prayer, and make plans to attend our two Seek Nights on Wednesday and Thursday!
We look forward to all that the Lord will do in our hearts during Seek Week and beyond.
If you have any questions before or during this week, please reach out to David Goodson at david@greenbriarchurch.net.
